One day only! Sunday, 10/20/19, 5:00-7:00 PM. Learn the basics of jazz technique and review the fundamentals in this jazz workshop with dancer and jazz dance teacher, Gina Montoya. The workshop will start with a classic jazz warmup followed by some technique basics in the center and then take those skills and practice them across the floor. The workshop will then incorporate these skills and steps in an upbeat, high-energy Broadway style jazz combination. This workshop is perfect for beginners who want to learn the basics and for more experienced dancers who want to work on their performance style in an intimate and encouraging setting. The combination will be taught with options for various technique levels. All are welcome!

Gina Montoya was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. She started dancing and performing at the age of four and has never stopped. Gina was trained primarily in ballet and tap as a child and later found a love for jazz and hip-hop on her college dance team at the University of Colorado. After graduation Gina continued to train, perform and teach various styles of dance and theater in Nebraska, Oklahoma, Colorado and now New York City.
